Privacy Policy – Webador
Processing of Personal Data
Through the online service Webador, privacy-sensitive data or personal data is processed. Webador considers the careful handling of personal data to be very important. Therefore, personal data is processed and secured with great care.
If you have any questions or would like to know exactly what data we store about you, please contact us.
Your Account
To use our online service, you must first register. This requires you to provide an email address and a website name. This creates an account that you can log into using your email address and a password of your choice. Your password is securely stored using bcrypt encryption.
For your account, we retain your email address and IP address for security purposes, allowing you to log in safely. This information is stored for up to three months after you cancel your account.
Your email address is also stored to contact you when necessary. You can choose whether or not to receive emails from us through your account settings.
Statistics and Profiling
We collect statistics on the use of our online service. These statistics help us improve our service by displaying only relevant information. For this purpose, your IP address and cookie data are used. Webador makes automated decisions based on computer programs or systems, without human intervention (e.g., without review by a Webador employee). These automated decisions help ensure Webador’s visibility online and allow us to tailor communication to your personal needs.
Webador uses the following external programs and systems:
• Google AdWords Remarketing
• Facebook Pixel
These tools allow us to display advertisements based on your browsing behavior. We also make automated decisions in case of late payments. If an invoice is not paid on time, reminders will be sent, and services may be blocked. If the invoice remains unpaid, we may involve a collection agency.
Contact Form and Newsletter
On our website, you can contact us via a contact form to ask questions or submit requests. We collect your email address and IP address and share this data with Zendesk, our helpdesk software provider. We retain this data until we are certain you are satisfied with our response, plus an additional 12 months for reference and customer service improvement. You can subscribe to our newsletter, which contains updates, tips, and information about our products and services. Your email address is automatically added to our mailing list and stored until you close your Webador account. Every newsletter includes an unsubscribe link, which allows you to opt-out at any time. You can also unsubscribe via your Webador account settings.
Special and Sensitive Personal Data
Our website and services do not intend to collect data from visitors under 16 years old unless parental or guardian consent is given. However, we cannot verify the age of visitors. We encourage parents to supervise their children’s online activities to prevent unauthorized data collection. If you believe we have collected data on a minor without proper consent, please contact us via our contact form, and we will delete the information.
Emails and Newsletters
We send emails regarding offers and our (paid) services. You can unsubscribe at any time. Every email contains an unsubscribe link. You can also manage your email preferences in your Webador account settings. However, some transactional emails cannot be unsubscribed from, as they are essential for using our system. Examples include password reset emails and payment reminders. Once you delete your account, you will no longer receive emails except for those necessary to complete pending agreements (e.g., outstanding payments).
Sharing Data with Third Parties
We only share your personal data with other companies or institutions when:
• It is necessary for our online service.
• We are legally required to do so (e.g., a police request during a criminal investigation).
We work with selected partners who may process certain personal data on our behalf. These collaborations are necessary to deliver the services you have signed up for. You can find a list of our partners at the end of this document.
Cookies
Our online service uses functional, analytical, and tracking cookies. These cookies store information so you don’t have to re-enter it repeatedly. They also help us track repeat visits. We have agreements with third-party companies that place cookies, but we do not have full control over their use of this data. Please read their privacy policies for more information. You can disable cookies in your browser settings, but this may prevent you from logging into our system. You can also delete cookies manually via your browser settings.
Google Analytics
We use Google Analytics to track the use of our online service. We have signed a data processing agreement with Google, outlining strict conditions on data usage. Google may not use collected Analytics data for other Google services. These data are automatically deleted after 26 months.
Google Login
You can register and log in using your Google account. If you choose this option, Webador receives access to some of your Google profile information (e.g., ID, name, and email address). This data is used only to verify your identity and set up your Webador profile.
Your information will not be shared with third parties. You can revoke access at any time in your Google account settings.
Security
We take data security very seriously. We implement safeguards such as:
• SSL encryption for secure connections.
• Regular backups stored in external locations.
• Employee training on data security.
• Penetration tests to detect vulnerabilities.
Changes to this Privacy Policy
If our online service or legal regulations change, we will update this Privacy Policy. Please check the last updated date and review the policy regularly. We will notify users of significant changes.
Your Rights
You have the right to:
• Request a summary of your personal data.
• Correct inaccuracies.
• Delete outdated data.
• Withdraw your consent.
• Object to certain data uses.
If you feel we are not handling your request properly, you may file a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority.
